The Public Mobility and Works Company (Epmmop) has announced the commencement of a new stage of roadworks on Diego de Almagro Avenue. This project, covering 1.78 kilometers, was planned to last 120 days divided into four phases of 30 days each.
Starting today, June 17, a phase involving the total closure of the south-north lane from Republic Avenue has begun. Two phases have been completed so far, and the project is currently focused on phases 3 and 4.
The total investment in this project will exceed $682,000, with ongoing communication and engagement efforts involving over 16,000 beneficiaries from the area.
The intervention section spans from Whymper Street to Argentina Square, on 6 de Diciembre Avenue. The works started today with excavation on the roadway and are expected to last 30 days.
Simultaneously, work is being carried out on the section between Republic Avenue and Whymper Street, with the closure being extended from Republic Avenue to 6 de Diciembre Avenue. Subsequently, efforts will shift to the north-south direction towards Orellana Avenue.
