The Quito Metro Company announced that it has reached the milestone of 30 million journeys since it started operating in December 2023.
Alex Arce became the 30 millionth passenger by using his Ciudad card at Magdalena station, marking a significant achievement for Quito's Metro.
In its first semester of operation, the Metro celebrates the welcoming reception by the residents of Quito to this transportation system.
Arce, a frequent Metro user, stated: “This compels me to be an exemplary user and take care of Quito's Metro.”
He also highlighted the speed of the journey that allows him to get home earlier thanks to the Metro.
Quito's Metro marked this milestone together with Arce, receiving applause and recognitions, and giving him souvenirs as commemoration.
