‘Canelo’ Álvarez retains his four world titles by defeating Munguía by unanimous decision

Mexican boxer Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez retained his four world champion belts by defeating his compatriot Jaime Munguía by unanimous decision.

The Mexican Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez managed to defeat his opponent Jaime Munguía with judges' scorecards in his favor by 117-110, 116-111, and 115-112.

The challenger Munguía, up to that point undefeated, showed strength in the early rounds but was surpassed by Álvarez's strategy throughout the fight.

The turning point came in the fourth round when a powerful blow from 'Canelo' sent Munguía to the canvas, changing the course of the bout.

After an intense 12-round battle, Álvarez showcased his quality and solidified his position as a champion, while Munguía lost his undefeated status.
